LA BANDA DEL PATIO


This group has done a video about the cartoons “La banda del Patio”, and the have shot their voices. This video has been short, because they have had several problems with it, but I have understood everything about this video.




They begin the video talking about the traditional way of teaching, and they show us how this way of learning is not the correct and should change, by institutions, schools, and teachers.
The most important thing to me is that the score that children get in an exam is not the important, this is not evaluating children’s develop. So to be a good teacher we have to evaluate the development of each student, and value it, because if not with a test is impossible to show the knowledge and the process of the child in the subject or in the class, so this is one thing that all schools should have, like La banda del Patio Ideal School.
An other thing that I would like to highlight is the relationship between teacher-student, all students have to feel the same, so the teacher have to have the same relation with all students, without having preferences and inequalities.


In this video we have seen that each member of this group have effort doing it and they have a good working atmosphere.

ESCUELA DE BOCACION:




First I would like to highlight the job of this group, because has been spectacular. They show us indirectly the good working atmosphere that they have, and this is very important for develop a good job.


This video has been very cute, and it has four parts, “the vocacioncito tale”, the origami part, the draw of the school building and all the members of the groups showing us some important topics of the Ideal School.
I would like to concentrate about what they have explain us about children in the school: first teachers have to let them that their imagination run free, to develop their curiosity and the critical thinking, give them the opportunity of being autonomous, everything of this is very important to achieve the education we are looking for with all of this theories, ways of changing the school… But I think that we have just to believe in the new system and work a lot with it.
The teacher has an important role in the school because he is the scaffolding, has to focus on the needs of all students, has to do dynamic classes, with different activities to catch the children’s attention. A very important thing is that teachers have to know how to react and how to teach all children in a class, because always in a class is going to be different intelligences. So the role of the teacher is essential in the education of children.


The last but not the less important, are the measures that a school should have to children with some problems, like deaf people, teaching them with special resources, blind children teaching them with Braille, and some special resources, an essential part of the building’s school are the places that have been facilitated to access to the school, and to move and feel equal that all students, without caring about their disability. So I can summarizer this saying that the Ideal School must have place for everyone, and the necessary facilities to people with disabilities.

RIGATONIS:


This video has been very interesting, they have done some interviews, and the have done a representation. I am going to talk about the things that have call my attention.



In the parents interview they sow us the difficult decision of parents of selecting the correct school, they say that are very happy , and they have an agenda where parents and teachers are connected and where parents can see their children homework, activities etc.
Things that parents say that is necessary to achieve is: have more extracurricular activities, less books (because are very expensive, and their children have to support a lot of weight) and reduce the homework, because they don’t have enough time and they need to relax, not just doing homework all the afternoon.
The teacher’s interview: the teacher say that she has the lucky of work in which she loves, so this is the principal point for being a good teacher.
She say that would change the contents of the subjects and the methodology, she defends the new ways of learning instead the traditional one.
In her school they have already installed digital blackboard, they have computer rooms, and they have training courses but are not paying by the State, but the school pay it.
The last part of the interview they talked with children: they say that they have fun in the school because they like to be with their friends and because they learn.
They say that they work in groups in some subjects like P.E. arts, alternative and sometimes in class they say.
And they use technologies in Music like digital blackboards and in English like computers. They have a complaint, that is that teachers give them a lot of homework and they don’t have enough time to have fun after the school.

These things has been exciting because I have learnt a lot of the school, the real point of view of the teachers, parents and children.

THE DIFFERENTS:


This group has done a video with three parts, first with the Simpsons, the structure of the draw and they having fun, and representing a P.E. class.


A very important part of the video is when Lisa sais to Ralph that he should study a lot like her, memorizing, and he wonder “Why we have to do exams?”, because is very important to make children learn without memorizing everything, and the forgetting it, this is one of the biggest problems in the Spanish education, that children have to study, memorize, and forget it…


Children say that they favourite subject is art because they feel freedom, and the can express their feelings, and they only pass this subject, so  with this we can see how children feel comfortable with the dynamic classes, in which they feel a necessary part of the class.
Also they have emphasized that there are some teachers that don’t care about their children education, and they don’t do their job in the right way, so because this is very important the trajectory of each teacher and that they never stop improving their way of teaching.
In the structure of the school they have done two flats, and in one of them they have putted all courses of primary, all together. Around the school they have green where children can interact and rest in the breaks, in P.E., in some subjects…

So this part of the school is very important to children, to be relaxing and to have a place to be comfortable and to take a break.

FUTUPASTA:


This group has done a video with the cartoons of the TV serir “Futurama”. Fisr in the video the have talked about the mistakes of the traditional way of teaching and the benefits that has the “new” school.
A thing that I want to highlight is something that they have said : “…Even teachers are learning all the time”, this is very important, because the quality of the education depends most part on the teachers studies, experience and knowledge.
In the part of the building structure they have putted study rooms where children can study, make their homework…stay with their classmates doing some activities, these are rooms that should be in all schools, and the floor of the teachers is very interesting where they have their offices, their meeting room.
They talk about their ideal school, they have said that is essential the cooperation with each other, between students, teachers, personal of the school, between teachers and students…, is very important to understand the other points of view of the rest of people. And the last, that the teacher doesn’t have the main paper in the class, he is a guider, he is the scaffolding of the students.

So It is very important to realize that this things are necessary in the school to achieve a better education.
